Frequently asked questions
We typically suggest a student take our class 1-3 months before their test date. We have had students finish a session the day before their test and felt fresh and ready to go immediately. If students have desires for the National Merit Scholarship [top 1% on the PSAT], we recommend taking a prep class 6 months out or longer.
Along with four 2-hour learning sessions, students will receive a Princeton Review SAT prep book with five online practice tests, four envelopes of Karns & Noble–created practice worksheets to use during class, a four-day math practice guidance schedule, goodies, Karns & Noble swag, and two smiling instructors!
Mrs. Karns and Mrs. Noble are both highly qualified and expert English teachers, with both showcasing top state tests results in their public high school positions. Mrs. Noble also taught AP Literature with top pass rates. When teaching 11th grade English, both teachers incorporated SAT prep into their daily class routines and found great success with their students' performances--thus initiating the idea for a virtual class to share this teaching expertise with other students. Karns & Noble both understand the modern students' learning progression, grammar deficiencies, and supports needed to teach SAT prep in a step-by-step fashion to build knowledge and confidence.
