WHY ONE-ON-ONE

The whole hour is about your student.

When a teacher’s full attention is on one student, progress happens faster. Here’s what private coaching changes.

01

A plan built around one student

We start with a diagnostic, find the exact gaps holding your student back, and build a session plan around them—not a generic syllabus.

02

Every minute is yours

No waiting for a room to catch up. The pace, the examples, and the focus all flex to how your student learns best.

03

Scheduling that fits your life

Sessions are booked around your week—evenings, weekends, around practice and rehearsal. Online or in person near Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

04

The fastest score movement we offer

Undivided attention is why one-on-one students see our biggest Reading & Writing gains. It is the most direct path to a higher score.

FOUR WEEKS MAPPED

A plan that adapts every session.

No fixed script—just a teacher reading your student’s progress and adjusting in real time.

01

Session 1

Diagnostic & a custom plan

Your student takes a full Reading & Writing diagnostic. We read the results together and map a session-by-session plan to the question types and skills that will move the score most.

Targeted skill-building

We drill the specific areas your student needs—grammar and mechanics, evidence, vocabulary-in-context, rhetorical synthesis—with real passages and immediate, personal feedback.

Timing, strategy & confidence

We move to full-length timing, pacing strategy, and a clear test-day game plan—so your student walks in knowing exactly what to do on every question type.

Confidence under pressure

A teacher who learns how your student thinks.

One-on-one isn’t just a smaller class—it’s a relationship. Your teacher learns exactly where your student hesitates, which explanations land, and what kind of practice actually sticks, then builds around it.

That feedback loop is why private students see our biggest gains. Every minute is spent on what your student needs next, not on a fixed syllabus.

GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you enroll.

Still wondering about something? Contact us, a real teacher will answer.

How many sessions are included?

One-on-one is sold as a flexible package of four 2-hour sessions, the same arc as our group class but built entirely around your student. Need more or fewer? We’ll tailor it—just ask.

Online or in person?

Either. Virtual sessions run in a live, interactive classroom (a Google email is required to join). In-person sessions meet near Coeur d’Alene. You choose what works.

Is one-on-one better than the group class?

It’s the most personalized option and tends to produce our largest score gains, because every minute targets your student’s specific gaps. If your student has a tight timeline or very specific needs, it’s the fastest route.

What’s included in the price?

The Princeton Review Digital 2026 textbook, the diagnostic, all session materials, and instruction directly from a certified ELA teacher—Rachel Karns or Christine Noble.

Do you only teach Reading & Writing?

Yes—we specialize exclusively in the SAT Reading & Writing (ELA) section, which is exactly where our teachers’ expertise lives and where focused coaching pays off most.

What if I need to miss a session?

Let us know as early as you can. We’ll help you catch up on materials, and where schedules allow, sit in on the same session in another cohort.
